“I would have lived in peace. But my enemies brought me war.”
🌟 I was given this book as a birthday gift from one of my most “book-expert” friends.
She told me that I will probably like this, she was right.

🌟 There are many reasons why people read, this book has an additional reason *Ahem*

description

🌟 My friend also told me that male writers are different from female writers and I can totally see that in this book. I like the whole idea behind this, I thought it was going to be like Red Queen but they are nothing alike.

🌟 My favorite thing in this book was the MC development, you can see and feel him changing chapter after chapter.

🌟 The plot twists were nice, there were some boring scenes but overall it is good. The biggest problem in this book is that it was so DENSE: too many characters, complex names, too much going on, I was confused multiple times but I got the main points perfectly and when I read the summary, I found out that I didn’t miss out as much as I thought.

🌟 I am writing this review after one whole year and that was the actual time it took me to be in the mood again to continue the series which I am excited to do now! Final Rating is 3 stars.

“You do not follow me because I am the strongest. Pax is. You do not follow me because I am the brightest. Mustang is. You follow me because you do not know where you are going. I do.”

🌟 Prescription: Definitely for fans of Sci-Fi novels with dense world building and characters!

  1. I have it on my Kindle and I am dying to give it a try! I find your reasons interesting… if you ask me… haha
I do agree that the authors write differently if they are women and men… wouldn’t all man authors have man main characters and the other way around?
I am shocked that you gave it a 3-star review! but I think I see your point on the dense and the confusing XD

  2. It is worth it! I love to support male authors and that’s why I tried it 😀
I am turning into a grumpy old man, my ratings are getting lower, I don’t know but it was confusing and I couldn’t ignore that -although not for many readers so it is probably me-
