“ When all’s said and done, though, Hendrick doesn’t mind being a fool if it means he can finally live the life he’s always deserved.”
🌟 I am not an expert when it comes to the Horror genre. This is only the 2nd book I read in this genre and I am not convinced that it is for me! I only read this because I have been sent a copy by Tor.com to whom I am thankful!
🌟 The story was short and so will be my review. I just thought the story started well but then it became weirder and weirder and weirder. The good thing is that I found the story to be well written, the characters to be fleshed out and the pacing to be acceptable!
🌟 But I had a major problem with the plot, like it was good and then I was rolling my eyes and by then end I was like WTF did I just read!! Also this was not as scary as I hoped it would be. The story is just a little bit creepy and that’s it! OK maybe the idea of someone invading my life and trampling my memories is scary but I found the whole thing more fantasy like than it being horror!
🌟 SO I am keeping this short and I would say that take my review with a grain of salt since I am not an expert at this genre. Anyway, I found the whole experience underwhelming and I don’t think I will be reading books of this kind anytime soon!
