Graphic Novel/ LGBT/ Romance
By: Alice Oseman
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 1/2
🌟 I have been hearing great things about this author and since it is Pride month, I thought it was the perfect chance to try her books, I finished this and I am currently reading I Was Born For This. I found that this is cute as many readers said it would be but for me it was just that, a cute graphic novel that did not blow up my brain!
🌟 I recently read the Check, please comic and Fence. The common thing between all of those is that they feature LGBT characters who play sports. Fence had the best plot and romance! Check please has great drawings and this was the cutest.
🌟 But there was not much happening, the sport part is almost very minimal, the drawings are made by the author herself which is great, I think they sometimes looked like doodles and on some pages they were really good! I would have preferred it if she had taken more time to perfect them.
🌟 There was not much dialogue compared to the other comics. This made it very simple to read, non confusing and easy to fly through. Maybe the whole book took half an hour to read!
🌟 Summary: A cute and fast graphic novel that could have been more detailed. It put me in a drawing mood and you may see me draw something very soon!

Or
I’ve heard a lot about this one, and I even started the webcomic a while back, but it wasn’t enough for me to continue with the story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I might read it in Graphic Novel form, but not any time soon. Interesting review!

Thanks Xandra, I think you can continue it as a web-comic since you already tried it!
