My love for this series just increases with each entry. Heartsong is my favorite in the series so far and I can’t wait to see what Brothersong has in store for us.

The beginning of this story is the strongest so far, it is not similar to the first two books and it is kind of confusing at first but in a very good way. I love Klune’s prose and it is the same case for this book. I don’t know if it was less cheesy or if I am more tolerant to cheese in this series but it bothered me less than the previous book. In fact, it did not bother me and I liked it! I also liked how filthy it was and I am not sorry for that.

This story follows Kelly Bennett and Robbie Fontaine and they were just so darn cute. My criticism from last book still stands true that the previous protagonists seems like minor characters in this entry which is a bit weird. Also, the humans remain hilarious and are very well written. Everyone seems to be gay in this world which is also a bit queer (see what I did there) but it is a world full of magic and werewolves and ferals so I can accept that.

β€œWe are literally the gayest pack that has ever existed,” Rico said to no one in particular. β€œI see no problem with this.”

The plot is great and it seemed more intense than the previous books. The villains were three dimensional and they had realistic motives which helps overcoming the good vs bad guys trope.

Summary: My favorite in the series so far with emotional and hilarious writing. Characters to die for with an Ace rep. A plot that will keep you on your tip toes with anticipation and I can’t wait to see how it all wraps up in book 4!
