I think whatever I write in this review here won’t change much. SJM has fans and has haters and that’s just the way things will always be. I know this is not a perfect book and although I usually reserve my 5 stars for books that I think are perfect, I think this was well written and made me feel things and I even got goosebumps reading some scenes which a minority of books can do to me. I think SJM nailed the ending, closing all the plot lines and that’s no easy task. I was not a big fan of ACOMAF but I loved this. The same thing applies to the TOG series where the series had its ups and downs but I loved the ending.

I am always mentioning how good characters are my cryptonite, give me realistic characters and that would certainly make it a good book for me. I usually forget the characters when I finish the books I read but I still remember all the characters in this one, the art by Bowater most certainly helps in that too. From Feyre and Rhysand, Cassian, Azriel, Mor, Amren, Nesta, Elain, Lucien, Tamlin to minor characters like The Suriel and the Weaver, I loved them all! The characters are a bit more diverse too this time (I won’t get into this discussion in this review) and I loved the dynamics!

The writing is SJM writing to put things in a simple way. It can be cheesy, it can be flowery, but it is addicting. The sex scenes made me roll my eyes and I skimmed most of them but the action scenes, the dialogues and everything else were great! The plot gets better and bigger and certainly much more interesting for me than book 2, I finished the whole 700 Pages in 4 days!

Summary: I am keeping this review relatively short, I am once again confessing it is not a perfect book but I am merely rating it depended on how much I enjoyed it and all the feelings it gave me. I believe the writing is as typical as usual, the characterization bleeds off the pages and the plot concluded everything well as an end to a trilogy. I have a love/hate relationship to SJM books but I am certainly looking forward to more from this world and will soon jump into the Crescent City world!
